Membership Categories

Professional Members are individuals who are or have been employed in the management of information resources including, but not limited to, managers, staff, sales, service providers, and educators. Professional members are normally affiliated with a local professional chapter.Professional members not affiliated with a local chapter are Members at Large.

Student Members are individual students currently enrolled in a university or college whose degree major is consistent with their desire to enter the information processing field. Students who do not find their college or university listed should join an Individual Student Member At Large.

Enterprise Members are commercial, government, and education organizations. All Enterprise Member organizations are eligible for a group dues discount based on the number of individual membership applications. Student to Professional (S2P) Members are former student members who gain all the rights and privileges of a Professional Member at a reduced dues rate for three years. To make application for the S2P Membership, please contact aitp_hq@aitp.org or call 800-224-9371.

Dues and Discounts

Dues for AITP RTP membership are $250 per year, which includes eleven monthly chapter meetings (networking, program, and dinner). The December meeting is typically a Holiday Party, and an additional fee is sometimes charged to help defray the cost. If you attend a chapter meeting as a paid guest and then join and become a member before the end of that month, the paid guest fee will be refunded. If you cannot attend a particular chapter meeting, you may send a substitute at no additional charge.

If you would prefer to mail in an application with a check, you can download the application form here. You can also bring the completed form and check to any chapter meeting to join. Please note that there is a $10 one-time processing fee when submitting the paper membership application. To avoid that $10 fee, simply join online!
